Central Florida Chapter Helps the Homeless

Monday, May 14th, 2018

During Central Florida Chapter’s April meeting, the ladies put together 28 bags for the women at the Sanford Homeless Shelter for Mother’s Day. The bags included hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, and combs; we also added bath towels, scarves, jewelry, pens, and paper.

Tuesday, April 17th, 2018

Members of the Albany Chapter volunteered to attach Regional Food Bank flyers to over 1000 bags to help them get ready for their upcoming Neighborhood Food Drive. At the drive, they collected a record amount of goods for local food pantries. Pictured around the table at the Regional Food Bank Warehouse in Latham, NY are, starting on the left, Joan Mauro, Marianna Maffeo, Kathy Judge (top of her blond hair 🙂 , Regina Merola, Jan Darling, and Diana Ham. Not shown is acting President, Vice President Nancy Brucklier, who had to leave early to volunteer elsewhere, Barbara Smith who had worked hard, but was out of range of the camera, and photographer Sue Russo.
