2011: Indianapolis Charter Chapter
Indianapolis Charter Chapter donate Pillow Pet to Jake Jake (age 7) was diagnosed with stage four alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer. While at Riley for a radiation treatment, his mom asked him what he thought kids battling cancer at Riley needed. Jake's answer was “I think they need Pillow Pets” because there are times that they don't feel good, the doctors don't always tell them good news, and it's scary. This was the beginning of Jake's goal to collect 1000 Pillow Pets by the end of March 2011. |

2010: Roanoke Chapter
The Roanoke ladies hosted a St. Patrick's Day Party for the veterans at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salem, Virginia. Alverta Steptoe, a former VA employed nurse, planned the whole affair. The members brought finger food, cakes, drinks and ice cream and served approximately twenty patients. It was quite an experience for the ten members that attended; it made them realize how grateful we should be to our Veterans. What a memorable day!!! View Event Photos |
