Honoring 100 Years

of Women’s Leadership in Rail

The Chicago Chapter reached a historic milestone in 2025—100 years of connecting, supporting and advancing women in the railway industry.

​

To commemorate its centennial, the chapter hosted its 100th Anniversary Sneaker Ball Celebration on November 1, 2025, at Palos Country Club. More than a celebration, the evening paid tribute to generations of women whose leadership, service and commitment have helped shape the railroad industry and strengthen their communities.

​

From the elegant setting and dazzling sneakers to an inspiring program, the evening reflected on the chapter’s rich history while recognizing the women who have contributed to its legacy.

The chapter was honored to welcome then-National President Rhonda Gomez, who presented a special gift commemorating the milestone, along with NARBW members and guests who traveled to Chicago to share in this historic occasion.
