Honoring 100 Years
of Women’s Leadership in Rail
On Nov. 1, 2025, the Chicago Chapter celebrated a century of impact at our Chicago Chapter’s 100th Anniversary Sneaker Ball Celebration at the Palos Country Club. It was more than a party — it was a tribute to the generations of women who have shaped the railroad industry and uplifted their communities.
From the elegant setting and dazzling sneakers to the inspiring program, every moment honored the incredible contributions of women in rail and the communities they’ve uplifted over the past 100 years.
We’re especially grateful to our National President Rhonda Gomez, who presented the chapter with a special gift, and to all our guests—especially our NARBW members who traveled to Chicago to be part of this historic occasion.
🌟 With deep appreciation to:
• Our planning committee led by Chapter President Jasmine Manley
• Our longtime partner Railway Age
• Our generous sponsors: CN, Anacostia Rail Holdings, Metra Commuter Rail, League of Railway Women (LRW), and the Western Railway Club. Click here for our sponsor highlights.
🎨 Creative contributors who made the night shine:
• T’Aura the Poet for her moving performance
• DJ Antoine for keeping everyone on the dance floor
• Judy Sweets Creation for the stunning décor
• Stacy Smilez360 for capturing the spirit of the evening
• Cakes by Karen for the beautiful (and delicious) cake
This milestone honors the legacy of women in rail — their leadership, resilience, and contributions over the past 100 years. We’re proud to carry that legacy forward, together.
“This centennial is more than a celebration—it’s a tribute to the resilience, leadership, and camaraderie that define our chapter.” — Jasmine Manley, Chapter President
